About the role
Build the backend services that power NYLOS — C# and .NET APIs handling payroll runs, financial postings and the compliance rules Ethiopian enterprises depend on.
What you'll do
- Design and build backend services and REST APIs in C# / ASP.NET Core.
- Model complex business domains — payroll rules, chart of accounts, approval workflows — in clean, testable code.
- Work with SQL Server / relational databases: schema design, queries, migrations and performance tuning.
- Implement background jobs, integrations and reporting endpoints for the NYLOS modules.
- Write unit and integration tests, and take part in code review.
What we're looking for
- 2+ years building production software with C# and .NET (ASP.NET Core preferred).
- Solid grasp of relational databases and Entity Framework or similar ORM.
- Understanding of REST API design, authentication and authorization.
- Clear communication and a bias toward shipping working, maintainable software.
Nice to have
- Experience with ERP, accounting, HR or payroll systems.
- Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines or cloud deployment.
- Exposure to frontend work in React or Blazor.
